Clear already is that there is going to be no shortage of walks to do in Derbyshire...

Today's was a simple one. No car involved. We could do it all from our West Hallam abode.

This route touched on several of the multiplicity of old railway lines that crisscross this area, plus the Pewitt Carr Nature Reserve, so it was interesting enough. And it was a stunning morning, starting off cold and hazy, and morphing into really quite warm.

Disadvantages: Shockingly muddy in places... And Derbyshire has a great love of stiles, not all of which are designed with short legs in mind...
