This website is a great source of ideas for Isle of Man walks, and this circuit was the one we did today.

The Sloc is a mountain flank. A very scenic road runs down it -- one of our favourites -- but this walk enables you to enjoy the landscape at a more leisurely pace.

We also had a beaut day to do it. Sunny, clear, bright, warm even (especially when you were going uphill).

There are a couple of slightly tricky bits. At one point we ended up in someone's garden... Not sure whether this was supposed to be the case, or whether we missed something... I was expecting a talking-to by irate owners, but it seems we got away with it. And the track towards the top of Earystane Plantation is a bit boggy and slow-going. Otherwise, plain sailing, and very, very rewarding.

All you need is the pictures really:

Ten out of ten for this one. An absolute cracker of a walk.
