Last August we went to visit the dragon in the
Lung Hua Kong Temple in Musi, not far from Bau. You might remember that he's the largest dragon sculpture in Sarawak, and you can walk right through his gloriously sinuous body.
Today we went back, with a couple of friends:
An outing in Sarawak always starts with breakfast... This is Premier Food Republic in Batu Kawa. Mine was the mee goreng from the stall at the back...
And here we all are at the dragon, with some random dog...
Last time, there'd been nothing inside the dragon. Now, decoration is well under way
It was great to meet Mr Goh, who's in charge of all this. He designed it, helped to build it, and is now undertaking the sculpture and the painting
We couldn't resist a few more shots of the dragon exterior
But apart from the dragon himself, it's a lovely locality, alive with birdsong. These are wild orchids
Looking forward to another expedition in June, when the decoration will be completed.
