We've spent quite a bit of time in Peel on this trip:

Formerly the Primitive Methodist chapel

school1
This was originally a school, founded in 1860. I'm not sure if my dad attended this one, or the one on Derby Road (subsequently flattened to become a supermarket)

On the subject of schools, I was interested to see that Peel Clothworkers' Primary School has changed its house names. Rather than dodgy English colonials (Drake, Hawke, Nelson, and Raleigh), they're now named after Christian, Shimmin, Morrison, and Dawson, all Peel notables from various eras. I'm happy to say that my old house (yellow) is now named after Sophia Morrison (1859-1917), a noted writer and linguist.

Peel has many culinary treats, and we weren't able to get through the list this time. New to us, however, were the breakfast offerings of this venerable establishment opposite the old railway station:

Peel is always dramatic when the wind is up:

Nice to see a bit more of the Peel lifeboat

This was PT's original nest, so visits here are always a bit special.
