We thought about going to the beach today. It would be easy to get there with Grab. Sea breezes and slurpy coconuts beckoned...
But then we wondered about how easy (or not) it might be to get back...
So we decided to stick around town, which turned out to be a really good thing to do.
For a start, there's a kind of car-free thing happening on a Sunday. It's only a couple of streets, and it's mainly geared towards selling things to eat and drink. But still, it's colourful and friendly:
In addition, the centre of town is way, way quieter than it is on working days. So you actually get to spot there are several alley-ways that have been adorned with cute murals:
There's a tricultural vibe down here as well
You'll also find there's a bit more room at the traditional coffee-shops on a Sunday:
And, of course, you can add in an extra temple or three (they just pop up everywhere):
All in all, a pretty nice Sunday.
