Those of you who have been following our quest to obtain a long-stay Malaysian visa ("Malaysia My Second Home", or MM2H) for Sarawak will remember the flurry of activity in Weeks 1, 2, and 3, the period of quiescence thereafter, and the major bit of encouragement in Week 8.

We knew we had "a month or maybe two" to wait, but by the end of March the uncertainty had begun to weigh on our spirits a little.

Well, today -- breakthrough. Our sponsor contacted us to say Immigration had called her, and our application is approved!

We now need to go and collect the letter.

There's a small logistical problem here, in that the letter is in Kuching, and we are in Miri, due to fly to KL and onwards to Europe on Thursday...

So we have to find a fix for this somehow.
