So yesterday morning we did the last of our KK walks, following the seaside/roadside track to the stilt village, and spotting many birds on the way.
Then, after a pleasant afternoon drifting around the really quite classy Suria Sabah mall, we headed home to Kuching.
We'd somehow consistently missed KK's famous sunsets, but we were treated to a really good one on the way down the coast (unfortunately, the really glowy bits were on the other side of the aircraft).
Having initially thought that we'd gone to KK needlessly, as the air in Kuching was improving, we found our decision thoroughly vindicated over the weekend when the Air Quality Index soared back up into the 200 ("very unhealthy") range.
It had gone down slightly, but by the time we landed it was on the climb again.
And by the end of today we were again way up in the mid-200s.
You don't want to be outside without a mask, and masks are hot and uncomfortable. So we're back to pacing the malls -- and working out at home.
Jeez, how we all wish this would stop...
