I don't have a lot to tell you this week. We've been quite busy, but not in a very photogenic kind of way.

Even our food -- though very fine -- has mostly consisted of tried-and-tested dishes that we've photographed before (although I should note for posterity that Kwong Hup not only do excellent lui cha but also excellent onde onde, and there's a stall at Song Kheng Hai that does nice rojak, so I've now decided that Sarawakian rojak is qualitatively better than its peninsular counterpart).

There have also been some new dishes/venues to try:

breadsmanbag
Breadsman, which sits alongside the Goceli supermarket, is becoming a bit of a favourite. I checked out their scones this week

chocolatine
On a flour-buying expedition, we popped in at Madeleine. Here are two versions of their very light and flaky "special" croissants

Mee pok is now my favourite thing from this vendor

It's Ramadan, and there's a different rhythm to the day. Some places that normally open in the morning now open in the evening; the pre-sunset hour by the river, which is normally lively with people eating and gathering, is now quiet, until sunset brings permission to eat. Ramadan music is playing everywhere, and the Big Padungan Cat has changed his outfit again:

Qingming, or Tomb Sweeping Day, is approaching, and some families are already tidying graves:

And the weather has turned a little drier, although it still likes to do its threatening thing from time to time:

So... Nothing dramatic, but nothing unpleasant either. In fact, lots to like. Not complaining.

I'll conclude with the rest of the week's gallery:
