It has been a bit of a health-dominated week. Nothing major (and there was actually one quite good outcome), but it did mean that rather too much of our time was spent in the doctor's waiting-room.

Also irritating was the Return of the Eighth Floor Reno, an operation that seems determined to make it into the Guinness Book of Reno Records.

So, with the glorious exception of our Telaga Air excursion, the theme of the week has largely been disruption.

One nice thing, however, was receiving our signed copy of a friend's newly published book, Rhyme and Reflection in the Rainforest:

Fish Buddy. Note that this is not a fish restaurant, contrary to what I believed for ages... But they do nice Fuzhou-style food...

To Melt For is the new gelateria that is situated at the bottom of Urban Residences (the condo we watched them build when we lived in our old place)

On the left, Earl Grey and rose (very good); on the right, dabai nut, which we were encountering for the first time, having only ever met dabai fruit so far (excellent -- a really lovely flavour)

Artist's impression...

It's a strange time at the moment. I feel as though I'm drifting, and I definitely need to get a grip on things. But how do you do that when into every week tumbles some unexpected something?
