We're still suffering from the need to be a little careful in the dietary domain, so our treats have had to be spaced out a bit more than usual, and packed lunches and flasks of coffee have been much in evidence.

Still, there are one or two points worth noting:

It's always good to check out the Fynoderee Distillery in Ramsey, with its awesome mascot

The Windsor Coffee Co. was a new discovery this trip: Good coffee; exceptionally helpful staff; and sensible opening hours (ie, they don't shut before the afternoon is even over...)

The Victory Cafe, one of our faves. Sadly, this place is changing hands, so it may well be very different by the time we return

We've managed to fit in kipper baps (non-negotiable), and the delicious cake that the Station Cafe in Peel calls bonnag.

And we tried out a couple of new places: Stanley's in Castletown (I really rated the bavette sandwich); and The Eatery in Douglas (brilliantly done poached eggs and spinach).

But there's much to look forward to on our return.
