We have lots of available ways into town. Possibly my favourite involves leaving early to beat the traffic, taking a route across the back of Douglas (there are different possibilities), and dropping down onto the northern end of the prom.

On this particular morning, 2 April, we saw the first of the trammers striding his stuff, as the new season opens:
Not a way into town, but a nice little circuit, is the route that takes you to Union Mills and The Strang. We've done this twice recently.

The walking possibilities here are a very big plus.
